International Webinar on Women Participation in Sports (IWWPS-2021) will be an engaging online event where World’s round and eminent industry and academic expert speakers will deliver the presentation to a large audience who participate by submitting questions, responding to polls, and using other available interactive tools. It is an event held on the Women in Sports In the last one hundred years women have made tremendous inroads in many facts of life. Women can now hold jobs, own property and participate in professional sports.Today women can compete in sports. The first women athletes India sent were four women athletes to the Helsinki 1952 Olympics, but couldn't win any medal. In Athletics Nilima Ghosa and Many D.Souza while in Swimming Dolly Nazir and Arti Saha represented in Helsinki Olympics. PT Usha became first Indian lady to enter the first of any Olympic event. There are many women medal for country. Women have broken the chain that bond them to the home and have emerged into all sorts of male dominated, including sports; women have become athletes in their own right. In the last ten years there has been validation for the female Athlete. But even today Women in sports are not portrayed in the same light as their male counter parts. To a large degree this is because of today's cultural ideal of Women.Ideology refers to ideas reflecting the social reeds and aspirations of an individual group, class or culture .So women participation in the sports is a subject of discussion in context with social system. The research indicates that Title IX has had a significant impact on female participation in sports due to creating the opportunity to participate.

Features of the webinar

The objective features of webinars are the women athletes that are perceived as beautiful and graceful, are able to get media coverage, but not for their actual athletic abilities, only their appearance. Research shows that sport is still strongly masculine, and strongly in favor of men as the primary controller of sports. It is important to give women equal opportunity in sport governance because gender diverse sport organizations are found to be more successful than those that are all male. Further, in order for women to have true equality in sport, the media will need to begin to recognize women for their athletic ability and not their looks or personal life alone, but also, society will need to move away from the social conditioning of women into gender stereotyped roles and allow for young girls to choose their own path, especially if that includes an interest in sports. Men must begin to see women as equals before women can truly be equals.Because of the institutionalized masculinity as the norm, this will be a hard perception to break in society; however, if women are given an equal opportunity to participate in sports as an equal participant and not a “female” participant, perhaps one could see a shift in societal perception, as was shown in the research study on the coed sport of quidditch. Perhaps the development of more coed sports could help reform the norm of masculinity in sport.
